Veolia has announced that its sister company, Dalkia plc, will be fully integrating with the UK group and adopting the Veolia brand name. This move will enable the company to offer its customers a wider range of environmental services in the areas of energy, water, waste and recycling.

While the name change reflects the closer integration of the group, owners and managers of commercial buildings will continue to benefit from Dalkia’s expertise in developing, constructing and operating greener and more economical energy solutions that serve to support the sustainable operation of retail outlets and offices across the UImportantly, the corporate integration will further strengthen the provider’s portfolio of energy and building management services that achieve energy efficiency and meet carbon reduction targets to help create cleaner commercial environments and free up resources that can be reinvested in frontline services.

Estelle Brachlianoff, Veolia’s Senior Executive Vice President for UK and Ireland said: “Veolia has always been the UK’s leading environmental solutions provider, and bringing our energy arm, Dalkia, fully on board truly cements us as a team. We know this will be only a benefit to our customers now and going forward, as they will be open to a larger range of services helping them be more sustainable into the future.”

Pat Gilroy, will head up the new team as Chief Operating Officer Industrial Customers UK and Country Head Ireland.

He said: “Dalkia has maintained the energy activity of Veolia for the past 13 years, and for brand clarity purposes, this change to align with the Veolia brand has been considered for a long time. We are delighted that it is finally becoming a reality and we are looking forward to a promising future as a fully integrated group.

“This will not impact on the services we provide to our customers and we have retained all of our energy and utilities expertise. The change now means that we will be able to provide significant benefits in terms of an environmental offer to our clients.”
