Designer outlet selects Dimplex

Jaeger, Pilot, Julian Graves and Regatta are among the well known brand names at Belfast’s The Outlet designer shopping centre that have chosen Dimplex air curtains to provide an invisible barrier of air to keep either warm or cold air in when the doors are frequently opened.
The shopping centre attracts high footfall from a wide catchment area and many of the stores needed assistance to improve indoor air quality.
Julian Graves, the UK’s largest independent specialist natural food and ingredients retailer, the luxury British brand Jaegar and Regatta outdoor clothing all chose to install Dimplex CAB air curtains which can be mounted above doors at 3m high to minimise draughts and dust to maintain a warm welcome within the store.
The Pilot womenswear outlet also installed a CAB unit, plus the more powerful Dimplex DAB air curtain with a wide 40° adjustable air flow which can be used on entrances up to 4m high. An optional energy saving thermostatic control ensures visitors and staff can feel comfortable while in the store.
Euan Forbes, Operations Manager at The Outlet, comments: “We pride ourselves on providing an enjoyable high quality shopping experience for our visitors, so it’s obviously key to ensure a comfortable environment within the retail units themselves. The Dimplex equipment does this very effectively by keeping treated air inside even when the doors are open, helping to keep the energy usage to a minimum.”
Dimplex’s commercial range of heaters and air curtains is efficient, durable and reliable and ideal for shops and offices, hotels and factories to meet a variety of energy management specifications.
The units have full (BMS) Building Management System interface with a separate wall control, while an ‘easy-fix’ wall bracket is provided for a quick alternative to standard droprods. The Dimplex air curtain range includes both architectural and industrial models that can be recessed or surface mounted, while a bespoke colour-coding of the units is also available to fit in with corporate colours or specific design schemes.
