Vodafone welcomes Dalkia
A multi-million pound, five year contract has been secured between Vodafone UK and Dalkia, to provide maintenance, equipment and fabric services as well as delivering landscaping and pest control activities at Vodafone in the UK.
The properties Dalkia is responsible for include the prestigious Vodafone World Headquarters at Newbury, alongside an internal helpdesk and numerous data centres, mobile phone exchanges, and call centres.
Vodafone’s property management help desk handles calls about all services across the company – including security, cleaning and hard services. Significantly this is the first time the entire facility has been outsourced. The decision was made on Dalkia’s intention to link a dedicated helpdesk to the application of hand held technology across the contract.
Dalkia’s capabilities and expertise in a business-critical environment enables Vodafone to take advantage of a tailor-made service delivery plan to ensure continuity across all call centre sites through planned preventative maintenance as well as intelligent maintenance regimes.
Energy management is a key aspect of the relationship that Vodafone feels Dalkia can develop over time – the company has already proposed to identify and deliver substantial savings across the entire estate during the contract.
Business Operations Manager for Vodafone, David Revill, said: “Signing a contract with an outsourced partner such as Dalkia is a significant move for Vodafone UK. The new relationship underlines our commitment not only to energy savings in line with Vodafone’s CSR policy, but also to deliver a high standard of working environment, security and care for the staff across the estate.”
