Tyco Thermal Controls has officially opened its new €8m EMEA Headquarters at Leuven, to support its regional operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
This new HQ has been purpose-built on a 150,000m2 site to replace its previous facility at Lubbeek, which the company outgrew after just five years of major business expansion. It will accommodate all the administrative, technical, product research and development departments, predelivery assembly/fabrication lines, training facilities and an extensive warehouse and logistics centre.
The new facility incorporates many energy-saving and environmentally sound features including: solar heating for hot water, low energy lighting with presence detection control and the re-use of rain water in sanitary rooms. All around and within the fabric of the building Tyco Thermal Controls has taken the opportunity to feature its range of energy-efficient heat-tracing products and systems for the commercial construction market.
Sylvain Lemmens, European Operations & IT Director commented: “The move has been completed successfully and seamlessly and everyone seems pleased and proud of their new workplace”.
