Aermec has announced the opening of the Raffaello Riello Research Centre at its Italian headquarters in Bevilacqua in Italy.

Giordano Riello, Aermec’s founder, CEO Alessandro Riello and Vice President Raffaella Riello, and the managers of Giordano Riello International Group and the new group of Aermec researchers were all present at the official opening ceremony.

Professor Federico Faggin, the world-renowned physicist and famous inventor who developed the first commercial microprocessor and touch-screen technology, was the guest of honour and along with Aermec founder Giordano Riello opened the new facility.

During the ceremony and subsequent meeting held in the auditorium of the Raffaello Riello Research Centre, Giordano Riello and Federico Faggin, emphasised the importance of continuous research that looks beyond the daily horizon towards not only the evaluation of new technologies and new ways of resolving problems, but also how to face the latest global challenges, especially those regarding energy and its environmental impact.
