Philips launches MASTER LEDtube

Philips has launched the MASTER LEDtube range, offering up to 50% energy saving when compared to the traditional linear fluorescent lamp.

Available in 2, 3, 4 and 5 foot versions the lamp has been designed for general lighting applications such as office and industrial spaces, as well as warehouses and retail outlets.

Quick and simple to install the MASTER LEDtube can be retrofitted with all lighting fixtures which have a standard G13 BI-pin lampholder and is therefore the eco friendly alternative to the T8 linear fluorescent lamp. Philips MASTER LEDtube primarily operates directly on mains voltage but can also run with existing electromagnetic ballasts remaining in the input circuit with the help of the safety starter which comes with it.

Having a lifetime of 40,000 hours, which is effectively over three times that of a standard TL lamp, means that the MASTER LEDtube offers exceptional maintenance savings and minimal disruption to busy public areas.

In addition, the lamp has a CRI in excess of 80, providing excellent colour rendering which is particularly reassuring in retail applications where merchandise needs to be shown off to best effect.
