L-R: Satyajit Gohil, Alex Nichols, Chris Wyn Jones and Lee Pashouros

Leading fire engineering consultancy OFR has appointed four new colleagues across its London and Manchester offices.

The new appointments come on the back of a period of rapid growth for the company which now boasts a national wide headcount of 129.

The latest recruits arrive with a vast and varied range of experience and will support the team as they deliver multi-million-pound projects, offering fire engineering advice on projects such as Google Kings Cross, The Royal Academy of Arts in London, and Ev0 – a sustainable commercial development in Manchester.

The appointments in the London contingent include Lee Pashouros who arrives with a specialism in civil engineering and six years site management experience, and Alex Nichols who has a background in fire engineering and smoke control and a soon-to-be-completed Masters in Fire Science at the University of Central Lancashire

Pashouros will also commence his MSc in Fire Design Engineering later this year demonstrating OFR’s continual commitment to supporting the development of its colleagues and further expanding the collective offerings of the entire workforce.

The Manchester team is bolstered by the arrival of senior fire engineer Chris Wyn Jones who arrives with a wealth of experience having worked on high-rise residential buildings, schools, hospitals and hotels, and is well-equipped to add to his expertise and expand his skill set at OFR. Also joining him in Manchester is graduate fire engineer Satyajit Gohil who will complete his degree in Mechanical Engineering whilst beginning his career at OFR. Originally from India, Gohil has spent the last two years working with Efectis in Belfast, as a Fire Testing Engineer.

The new recruits reflect OFR’S continued year-on-year growth and success in delivering high-quality, technically led, tailored fire safety solutions on projects across the UK and around the world. Since its inception in Manchester in 2016, it has extended its reach across the country, with the Scottish team recently moving into larger premises in Edinburgh’s Scott House on South St Andrew’s Street.

Speaking of the appointments Stewart Dabin, director at OFR Consultants, said: “We strive to continually invest in new and existing talent, constantly broadening and strengthening our teams across the country. I look forward to welcoming our newest colleagues as we continue to offer an unparalleled service to our clients.”
