The BETA release of a new range of software called ASHRAE 90.1 Studio developed by EDSL which automates the LEED compliance process will be taking place in the next few weeks. This new programme enables the user to obtain the performance rating in a fraction of the time using other software currently available.

Used in conjunction with Tas, ASHRAE 90.1 Studio takes the modelling data already entered and converts this into the baseline building as required by ASHRAE as part of the LEED assessment procedure.

Having quickly established the baseline building the software can undertake a comprehensive range of complex simulation calculations and produce data as required by LEED which includes energy performance, thermal comfort, renewables, daylight and views and green power ventilation effectiveness to mention but a few.

Dr Alan Jones, Managing Director of EDSL Tas, says:  “LEED is now the most popular green building rating system globally and any consultant working on international projects will greatly benefit from access to the ASHRAE 90.1 Studio. No other piece of software can do what the Tas ASHRAE 90.1 Studio can do in such a short time.”
