Minimise Energy has been awarded a contract by Imtech UK & Ireland to supply and install energy efficient LED lighting at 18 London Fire Brigade fire stations under The Mayor of London’s RE:FIT framework.

Working in partnership with EPC contractor Imtech’s Low Carbon Solutions team, Minimise will replace outdated halogen and fluorescent lamps in all station areas, including engine bays, dormitories and office spaces. Associated fittings will only be replaced where needed to ensure the payback period is optimised.

The programme will reduce energy consumption across all 18 sites by 385,982kWh.

The contract is the first phase of the Brigade’s energy efficiency upgrade under the RE:FIT programme. Minimise will start on site this month and is expected to complete the programme early in 2016.

The RE:FIT programme provides public bodies with the funding support needed to achieve substantial financial cost savings, improve buildings’ energy performance, and reduce carbon emissions.
