Logic Certification has launched a foundation certificate in Basic Heating and Hot Water System Design and Specification, providing new entrants, and experienced installers alike, with the skills necessary to design accurate, cost effective and efficient heating systems.
Suitable for candidates with no experience or qualifications in the area of heating system design, the foundation certificate provides a good level of understanding, enabling them to design and specify basic domestic heating systems, and size hot water systems.
John Martin, scheme manager for Logic Certification, said: “With all the new technologies coming on to the heating and hot water market, especially renewables, it has become crucial for installers to understand, and be able to design, efficient systems. This course has been developed to meet that need and give the installer the basic knowledge and tools for efficient heating and hot water design.”
On successful completion of the course, including the project and assessment, candidates will be issued with a certificate from Logic Certification. The course is acknowledged by the IDHEE and also acts as an introduction to its full diploma in heating design, equivalent to two unit credits, saving two days attendance on the IDHEE diploma.
Logic Certification’s Basic Heating and Hot Water System Design and Specification course takes between two and three days to complete, and uses CIBSE’s Domestic Heating Design Guide as A key reference. The course is available throughout the UK at most Logic Certification centres.
