The Heating and Ventilating Contractors’ Association (HVCA) has introduced HVCA Business Plus, an initiative designed to promote to a broader audience of building services engineering contractors the wide range of products and services available from the HVCA group of companies.
Central to the initiative is the construction of an HVCA Business Plus website (www.hvcabusinessplus.co.uk) to attract Internet users searching for a particular type of service or product (e.g. holiday pay, pensions, training or debt recovery) without necessarily knowing that it can be found within one of the HVCA’s established brands.

The HVCA Business Plus website explains the products and services offered by the HVCA group of companies and provides easy access to more detailed information via click-through links to relevant brands, which, in addition to the HVCA itself, comprise Building Engineering Services Competence Accreditation, Building Engineering Services Training, Engineering Services SKILLcard, HVCA Publications, Piper Assessment, REFCOM and Welplan.

The website also highlights the fact that many of the products provided by the HVCA Group are available to non-members (although members are in most cases entitled to preferential rates).

HVCA Chief Executive Robert Higgs said: “We are all well aware of the extent to which the Internet has changed the way consumers source the products and services they require.

“HVCA Business Plus reflects the fact that Internet-based searches are now tremendously significant in business-to-business transactions and this new website will inform a wider audience of the variety of products and services the HVCA group offers – many of which can help businesses significantly improve their efficiency and profitability.”
