Hoval has extended its UK manufacturing operations with the opening of a new air-to-air heat exchanger assembly line at its factory in Newark, Nottinghamshire. Heat exchange plates are crimped onsite, using Hoval’s patented high efficiency design, and then assembled to precisely engineered, bespoke specifications.

The heat exchangers are supplied predominantly to air handling unit manufacturers, constructed to order to match the performance required for each project and, when required, delivered within tight deadlines. Previously, these units were assembled in Slovakia and imported to the UK.

“Not only is it more economical and cost-effective to manufacture these heat exchangers locally for the UK market, it also reduces the carbon footprint of the products by reducing transportation,” observed Hoval Managing Director Adrian Walker. “The result is a more competitive and responsive service for UK air handling unit manufacturers, that helps them to reduce their costs and improve their lead times,” he added.
