Easyfairs UK & Global, part of the Artexis Easyfairs group, has sold two of its exhibitions in the UK: Maintec, for the maintenance engineering & asset management community; and Facilities Management, dedicated to facilities professionals in all sectors.
Western Business Exhibitions, publishers of Industrial Plant & Equipment (IP&E) and organisers of the Health & Safety exhibitions, will take the ownership and running of these events.
The decision was made by Easyfairs to divest these ultra-niche events to concentrate its focus and resources on the rapid growth of its already strong international portfolios in engineering, packaging, oil, petroleum & gas storage, and the laboratory, pharma and healthcare sectors. This comes after the announcement of recent large acquisitions by Easyfairs, including UK Tech Events (organisers of Advanced Engineering) and Oriex (organisers of Packaging of Perfume, Cosmetics & Design and the Aerosol Dispensing Forum).
Western Business Exhibitions organises the Health & Safety Event, which is already a co-located event with Maintec and Facilities Management, as well as publishing the Maintec’s Official Publication, IP&E. Its existing portfolio, which also includes publications Controls, Drives & Automation, Cleaning Matters, Handling & Storage Solutions and Health & Safety Matters, demonstrates its strength in this market and the natural fit with the newly acquired shows.
