A new company, IQ Refrigeration, has been launched to offer a cutting edge design and project management consultancy service for sustainable refrigeration and air conditioning solutions.
Key staff include well-known former Sainsbury’s people Nick Rivers, who has been appointed as Design Director, and Roger Borer who is a non-executive director.
Heading up the business are Managing Director Jacquie Russell and Bob Russell, Managing Director of sister company IQ Projects, the successful design, build and project management specialist with a proven track record in the retail sector.
Jacquie Russell said: “There is a huge opportunity for a company that can deliver practical, cost-effective environmentally sustainable solutions. End users are searching for the next generation of technology to future-proof their businesses against new legislation and escalating energy costs.”
Bob Russell said: “We are delighted to have Nick and Roger on-board. Their experience in this field, from both a technical and business point of view, is second to none. With their knowledge and expertise, backed by the logistical and project management capabilities of the IQ group, we believe we have a winning formula that can deliver what the industry and end users are looking for.”
The company, based in East Grinstead, has also recruited former Denman man Richard Parr as Design Manager. Other key members of the team are currently being appointed.
IQ Refrigeration is already working on a number of major projects, including designs for carbon dioxide-based refrigeration solutions.  There is currently great interest in carbon dioxide as a mainstream alternative, given its low potential impact on the environment.
